Wandering around the Midwest

Welcome back lovely humans,

I hope everyone had a spooky halloween! If you’ve been curious about what I’ve been up to, it is your lucky day! While things haven’t been the most epic, I have never really had the universe align for me in the way it recently has. I have spent a lot of time reflecting in nature and with good humans. I am growing.

A week ago I wandered up to the Upper Peninsula (UP) of Michigan. I heard from so many people how beautiful it is up there, specifically Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, but I somehow never managed to get myself up there. Until last week, and let me tell you….It was freaking BEAUTIFUL. Sure, my GPS did not work and I got lost multiple times, it was cold….but it was 100% worth it. The changing of the leaves, not a lot of humans, the water, and oh my gosh all the sunrises….it was amazing. I spent a couple of days exploring the park and surrounding areas. It did not disappoint. I did have to splurge on an extra sleeping bag at one point for Delilah because to got a bit too cold to keep sharing one.

So, I know I overloaded you guys with pictures there, but completely worth it – right?

After fleeing the UP, I wandered. I know you’re like “well ya, that’s what you’ve been doing this entire time, right?”. Well, yes, but this time I had no destination. I wandered down to Greenbay and ended up somewhere in Wisconsin on this beautiful hiking trail and it did NOT disappoint. Delilah did get a little muddy here, but completely worth it. We met some super friendly pups and friends as well. I eventually roamed over to Madison, WI…being it was the largest and closest town from where we hiked. A cute little area….but I had some very ODD encounters while I was there. One being a man asking if I wanted to come to his apartment at a gas station at 6:30am on a Monday….the other being an older gentleman thinking I was homeless, homeless struggling-not by choice – homeless….sooooo…..after those few encounters I started to re-evaulte some things ha ha – it is a pretty funny encounter though. Some weird girl living out of her car is a bit strange I suppose.

After making a short stop in Chicago…..I somehow managed my way back to Lansing, MI…..I…I genuinely don’t know why or how that keeps happening, but I am going to stop trying to fight it. I have got to go to a few yoga classes, catch up with some amazing humans, and had some pretty beautiful nature walks. I am flowing with the universe and go where the winds take me. I just embrace it and relish in it. No, I do not know where I am going next. I thought about heading west, since it is getting a bit cold and snowy up here, but who knows. It’s all one big adventure at the end of the day.
