My Relationship With Social Media

Hello lovely friends,

I know, it has been a minute since I have posted anything – that is starting to become consistent. I am still traveling, but at a slower and more partial pace. However, we’re going to address these things in this post and I want to know if any of you experience the same things!

To begin, I have a love – hate relationship with social media. I know starting a blog and building a “brand” is usually done by people who love social media and are “good” at social media marketing, but I do not love it and I am not trying to market. I simply want to share with people who are like minded or enjoy travel topics. I don’t actually hate social media though, I see a lot of positive in social media, I have even made some friends who I deeply admire on there. However, sometimes I find myself going back and forth between feeling like I have to be sharing everything with you guys and wanting to just live life instead of worrying about sharing a freaking post. I also get caught up in thinking some forms of social media are only a validation device for some people, but I am not them and most you probably are not either. I’ve been trying to determine where I want my stance on social media to be in regards to my blog and traveling/nomadic life. So thank you all for being patient while I figured that out. I am going to start being more consistent in my postings, but I may not be posting exactly where I am and what I am doing. For example, I may make a blog post about Toronto three weeks after I visited. I just wanted to you guys all to know, so you stick around and read these (hopefully or someday) epic travel stories and tips, especially the people who don’t know me in real life. But curious, does anyone else struggle with loving and hating social media too???

With that being said, I have been doing really big things (big for me anyway) lately. I am not going into detail because I want to keep most of these things private, but I want to say the universe has never aligned so clearly for me like this. I am not a religious person, but I do have the urge to be like “#BLESSED” ha ha. I am in a colder climate currently and there is a lot of freaking snow on the ground, but it is fineeeeee….Delilah and I are staying warm and still having a blast. I will give ya a “travel” post later this week, but for now you’re just going to have to take my social media blog post and run with it ha.

I want to add, trust your intuition on where you want to visit/live and what you want to do. Listen and observe what’s around you, because you may just find something new or an answer you’ve been searching for. Also, don’t feel obligated to get on social media everyday if it doesn’t fit you. It exhaust me sometimes feeling like I have to post and update everyone ALL the time, some days it’s fun…but not always.

Stay warm friends.
